Boston Athenæum Tour
10 1/2 Beacon Street, Boston
Dinner to follow at Carrie Nation
Please join us for an intimate tour of a Boston institution on the top of Beacon Hill. We will enjoy a one-hour tour of the Boston Athenæum and then go across the street to the speakeasy restaurant "Carrie Nation." There is no charge for the tour and dinner is on you. The Boston Athenæum is a private library with loads of history, galleries and special events. Some of it is open to the public but on this tour you will see many parts of it that are not generally accessible unless you are a member.
Only steps from the Boston Common and Freedom Trail, the Boston Athenæum is home to a membership library, an art museum, a public gallery, and a civic forum enjoyed by thousands of active members and visitors throughout the year. Founded in 1807 and in its current spot at 10 1/2 Beacon Street since 1849, the Athenæum is a celebrated hub in the intellectual capital of America. Look for the red doors. Jule Meyer is an active Athenaeum member and your Womenade host along with members of Womenade's Membership and Marketing Committee.
Please RSVP to Jule Myer before Sept. 10 so we can arrange for our docent or docents.
We hope you will join us!
