Womenade Boston 2017 Membership Form

You may join Womenade at any time, but when you join will govern when you can vote to allocate our grants. Contributions received between now and March 1, 2017 will be applied to the 2017 grant-making year. New members joining now are able participate in meetings and other giving circle activities, and will vote for the first time at the June 2017 grant-making meeting.

Please make checks payable to "Womenade Boston, Inc." and remit all membership materials no later than March 1, 2017.

Womenade offers flexible payment options to meet member needs. Members may pay in installments as long as membership contributions are paid in full by March 1st of the grant-making year. Just let us know on your membership form if you plan to pay in installments. Those joining at the Young Philanthropist level are asked to submit a photocopy of your Driver's License or other valid identification that contains your birth date along with your membership form.

NEWER SCHOOL: Set it and Forget It - Set payments up from Bill Pay in your online banking system and let your bank do the work. Set your payee to "Womenade Boston, Inc." and the payee address to: Womenade Boston, c/o Karen Blinderman, P.O. Box 958, West Springfield, MA 01090-0958.

Please note: Because of the prohibitive expense of credit card processing and Womenade's desire to allocate the entirety of member grant contributions to non-profits serving the community, we do not accept online credit card payments at this time for membership payments.

Membership Contribution
100% of Womenade membership contributions ($1000 for Standard membership and $500 for Young Philanthropist membership), and any addition contributions, go towards funding grants. The $100 operations contribution is allocated to supporting Womenade Boston administrative costs.
Womenade members are welcome to make a contribution in addition to their membership contribution. Additional contributions are added to the pool of funds used for grants. Additional contributions do not entitle a member to more than one grant-making vote. I would like to make an additional contribution of:

Womenade Boston is committed to acting with integrity in all of our relationships and in selecting grant recipients through an honest and fair process. In support of this commitment, our conflict of interest policy requires disclosure of relationships between our board and committee members with any grant applicant or potential grant applicant. We also require a board or committee member to recuse herself from the discussion and/or vote on any topic where a conflict arises. We formally require only those members serving on our board or on a committee to disclose conflicts of interest. However, Womenade Boston expects all members to act in an objective and fair manner. We expect all members to refrain from any attempt to gain an unfair advantage for a particular grant applicant by,

Womenade Boston is a 501(c)(3) organization. Each member’s contribution is tax deductible as allowed by law. Womenade Boston accepts matching funds from corporations. (Note: Matching contributions cannot be used as an individual’s giving circle membership contribution.) Corporate matching funds are used to support the ongoing work of the giving circle and may be allocated to grants or to other giving circle activities.
