Membership Contribution
I wish to be a 2018 Womenade Boston member! Womenade Boston offers 2 membership options: “Standard” and “Young Philanthropist.” While all members who are able are encouraged to join as Standard members, we offer the reduced-cost Young Philanthropist membership level to encourage young women to learn about and become involved in philanthropy with Womenade Boston. To be eligible for the Young Philanthropist option, members must: -Be under 35 years old. To qualify, the member’s 35th birthday must take place no sooner than the following grant year (i.e., for grant year 2018, the member must turn 35 sometime during calendar year 2019 or later). -Pay the $500 lower membership contribution plus the $100 operation fee. ALL members, in either category, are entitled to one vote at the annual Voting Meeting to select grantees. * Those joining at the Young Philanthropist level are asked to submit a photocopy of your Driver’s License or other valid identification that contains your birth date along with your membership form and check.
I wish to make an additional contribution: (Additional contributions do not entitle a member to more than one grant-making vote.) To be added to the pool of funds used for grants

Payment
Payment of membership contributions must be made in full by March 1, 2018. See mailing address below. Please Note: We are offering an online payment option through PayPal for 2018 memberships as a trial and will assess cost and utilization at the end of the year. PayPal offers the lowest cost nonprofit option for online payment (they will charge us 2.2% of the value of the transaction + $0.30 for each transaction which amounts to a fee of approximately $27 for a standard membership and approx. $14 for Young Philanthropists). Online payment fees will be funded from operations and will not impact member contributions allocated for grant making.
*If making payment in statements, how many installments will you use?

Womenade Boston is committed to acting with integrity in all of our relationships and in selecting grant recipients through an honest and fair process. In support of this commitment, our conflict of interest policy requires disclosure of relationships between our board and committee members with any grant applicant or potential grant applicant. We also require a board or committee member to recuse herself from the discussion and/or vote on any topic where a conflict arises. We formally require only those members serving on our board or on a committee to disclose conflicts of interest. However, Womenade Boston expects all members to act in an objective and fair manner. We expect all members to refrain from any attempt to gain an unfair advantage for a particular grant applicant by, among other things, disclosing confidential information and/or attempting to influence the vote of a Womenade Boston member.
Womenade Boston is a 501(c)(3) organization. Each member’s contribution is tax deductible as allowed by law. Contributions are acknowledged at the time payment is received. Womenade Boston accepts matching funds from corporations. (Note: Matching contributions cannot be used as an individual’s giving circle membership contribution.) Corporate matching funds are used to support the ongoing work of the giving circle and may be allocated to grants or to other giving circle activities. Does your company offer matching funds for charitable donations?
